Stinger Buzz

As the nutrition sponsor of the Trek Livstrong U23 Cycling Team, Honey Stinger had the opportunity to join the team and director Axel Merckx and staff for a few days of training camp in Solvang, CA. Wet weather followed the first day of sun so the trainers were broken out and schedules shuffled.

The team is comprised of up and coming riders from around the globe including guys from Australia, Canada, England, New Zealand and the US. As a small company, Honey Stinger can relate to the team’s developmental mission. The riders are really excited about our products and Axel himself confessed that he loves our Dark Chocolate Coconut Almond Pro bars. Stay tuned for more team news throughout the year. New protein bar sizes will be available in November! Due to overwhelming demand from customers and retailers, we will offer a smaller sized protein bar in all three of our popular flavors – Chocolate Coated Peanut Butta Pro, Dark Chocolate Cherry Almond Pro, Dark Chocolate Coconut Almond Pro.

Our 10g bar is half the size of our current 20g bar and will carry an MSRP of $1.79. Some days you want a full bar and other days you want something smaller – either way you still get the same ingredients and great taste. Available to ship mid November. Enjoy!

Great news on the sales front! Natural foods retailer Whole Foods has expanded its assortment of Honey Stinger products into the Northwest territory. Honey Stinger is currently available in Whole Foods stores in the Rocky Mountain and Texas regions but this expansion will add and additional 11 stores. We have begun shipping products to the downtown Seattle and Tigard, OR stores with the  rest of the store locations to follow shortly. If you’re from that neck of the woods please keep an eye out for our products and support Whole Foods.
