Compton Wins in Cincinnati UCI3 Cyclocross Festival
Katie Compton, on a break from the World Cup Tour, took the win in the Cincinatti UCI3 Cross Festival on October 9. The course comprised of a number of very slippery off camber slopes which claimed a number of riders during the race. Katie used just one bike for the race after electing to send a bike from the Treviso World Cup with the Pauwels family to Belgium to save a future airline baggage fee.
Despite the muddy conditions Katie’s bike worked well.
It was good for Katie to get in some racing in the mud before heading back to Europe for the next World Cup. Katie will be wearing the UCI World Cup leaders jersey, a first for any US Cyclocross rider.

Nate,
Great write up on Katie. Just one thing “Cincinnati” 1 “t” and 3 “n’s”.
